Angel Elliott

Angel Elliott is a star in the new school of up and coming, savvy young journalist.
She started her career in politics, working in the senatorial office of Sen. John D. Rockefeller (D-WV); while freelance writing for The Examiner.
Soon her career ambitions took her to BET, where she worked in the news department, quickly accelerating to producing news interstitials, specials, and live election coverage. She is apart of the team that produced the NAACP Image Award nominated, "The Inauguration of Barack Obama, 44th President of the United States"; and wrote and reported for the NABJ Award nominated BET voting consciousness initiative, BET's You(th) Vote! She currently works as a political columnist and producer for BET.com, and freelance news cast writer for several network affiliates throughout the Baltimore/Washington metro area. In October 2009, she started the site Angel Elliott's A-List on BET.com, covering Washington D.C.'s social and political scene. She also serves as executive director of media relations for Live2Learn. L2L is a non-profit charity started by football star Taiwo Atieno, that seeks to bring the dreams of impoverished children and young adults to fruition through free education. While pursuing her masters degree, Angel also serves as a guest panelist for national conferences on media, politics and interactive innovation. Angel Elliott hails from Baltimore, MD. |
