DeShawn Hatcher is in love with being a makeup artist.
This freelancing native New Yorker has been published in over 100 magazines (i.e. Vanity Fair, Ocean Drive, etc).
She has been a requested makeup expert on television and her work has been seen on Entertainment Tonight, AMC, MTV, BET and Saturday Night Live.
She has worked on major advertising campaigns for such companies as Boost Mobile, Budwiser, and Iceberg, and has been a key makeup artist on hundreds of different projects - including fashion runway - all in just four years.
DeShawn has worked with the types of major celebrities and photographers that most artists can only place on their wish list. Vanessa Williams says about DeShawn, "DeShawn’s genius brought out the beauty inside me." Her hands have also touched Tom Cruise, Beyonce, & Nelly to name a few. She has worked with great photographers David LaChapelle and the artist Mark Seliger. DeShawn feels blessed to be given many great opportunities and realizes with such bountiful gifts comes a lot of giving back. She is involved in teaching and lecturing nationally on the topic of the beauty business. She also donates her time with churches and charities such as Muscular Dystrophy, Gilda’s Club, and Welfare to Work programs.
